Im making things in secret; behind your back

 

 I'm endeavoring on making a painting entitled "Space Traveler", here is a simple sketch, kinda ran out of room at the bottom, so the feet aren't going to look like that obviously. This is going to be 3'X5' let me know what you think, what I should change, or other criticisms, or not. its your choice really, i'm just sharing. Its going to have dead pallet for color. Im really thinking a lot about this since I don't want to end up hating it. Also have a few more things brewing under the covers... ill get to posting them some day.

Im also almost finished the "sketchbook" part of my portfolio, now all I have to do is the "portfolio" part, promo, clean up the resume, and finally business cards and we should be ready to go !  Im still really thinking on promo stuff, I want to make something different....hmmmmmm

old-ladies

ahoy! I am taking figure painting, and the new teacher Tom De Vita, is really something else! The class is awesome and my stuff is actually turning out pretty rad, ill give you a preview( some other day cuz my cameras dead, and I got work to do). im working on getting my portfolio together, which is kind of scary and at the same time exciting! Ive come to a realization im graduating with a bunch of people I know, I think were actually going to have a pretty big group out of the illustration department, ready to get there feet wet, haha. Iternship is also pretty rad, getting some stuff done for press, and some nice peices for the port, which is awesomeness.

Back from Bay adventures

just got back to fl this past Monday night from my Bay adventures. Florida has the effect of being even more suckier every time you step off the plane back from somewhere awesome. Really lame experience indeed, I seem to be traveling quite a lot this year, to hell if I know how I manage to pull this kind of stuff outta my ass. I cant even put gas in my car, but I can mange to get a plane ticket, travel all over Europe, and the US.

well it was the most amazing ten day, okay 9 day adventure!
Me and my Berlin roomate Karla went all over up and down San Francisco, toured Fremont and East Bay turf, as well as Santa Cruz. Thanks soo much for having me! and takeing me practically everywhere! the weather was a nice constant 60-70F or 16-21C almost everyday, at night it would get a little chilly but it was a nice change from the 90 and up temperatures where still having here. Its already goddamn October! get with the program already!

The sunsets over there last for like 3 hours and it give the city a real nice kind of nostalgic feeling, besides the already laid-back-ness of cali as a whole. I also celebrated my 21st birthday there and got to meet a really awesome Nate Van Dyke in person! really rad really down to earth illustrator, that I did a magazine spread about a couple quarters ago. I also got to meet his girlfriend and one of his friends Andy, who introduced me and was nice enough to let us, me, Karla, and Liah to use some of his art supplies at the sketch Tuesdays even at Gallery 111 on Minna st.

So I have an incredible amount of pictures from this because I took both of the cameras, and Karla was basically in charge of the Nikon, while I was with the Canon. So thats why there is actually pictures of me this time haha. so if your really interested in seeing the whole 569 photos be my guest at my Flickr, otherwise enjoy the few good ones on here. :)

im going back in time!

omg this quarter was insane! for no reason what so ever which is really lame. right now im sitting in ft. lauderdale air port waiting for the plane to San Francisco, I already missed my 9am flight but I got one out of here at 11am so its not that bad. haha so i got some stuff to show you :D and thats amazing cuz im a lame lazy person.

so its also almost my birthday! in 4 days, you can count that on one hand! now I can party with all you conventional old people. so as a birthday present to myself im flying myself out to SF for 10 days to reunite with my Berlin roommates! pictures will be taken, and lives will be changed! and then its back to business as usual in the lame land of south florida, but hopefully not for long.
